Membership
· Must be born-again (John 1:12. John 3:3-7)
· Must be baptized by immersion. Baptism a prerequisite for communion.
(Acts 2:37-38, Matthew 3:13-17)
· Must lead a holy life…. should forbid the use of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, not a fornicator/adulterer and must be a husband of one wife or vice versa and all other matters as touching holy living in the Word of God. If one is found guilty of such, he/she would be cautioned by the Pastor and if it continues, they would sent out of the Church. (1 Peter 1:1-13-16;1 Thessalonians 5:22; Matthew 18:15; 1 Corinthians 5:9-13; Galatians 6:1)
· Must be an active soul winner for Christ, i.e. seek opportunities to share Christ with others invite individuals to Church. (Matthew28: 18-20; Mark 16:15-16; Proverbs 11:30; Daniel 12:3)
· Must attend Church regularly. (Hebrews 10:22-25; Acts 2:46,47)
· Must have a testimony i.e. be a walking epistle by exemplary living for the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:1-3; Ephesians 5:1-7; Colossians 3:1-17)
· Must be a member of a Ministry (i.e. teaching, outreach, prayer, music, etc.) and a fellowship (i.e Youth, Triumphant women or Kingsmen)
· Must be actively involved in all Church activities, must realize that service to
the Church is service to God. (Psalm 84:10; Ephesians 4:11-13;
Romans 12:3-8)
· Must contribute to the financial needs of the Church by paying Tithes,
Pledges, etc. for different Church Projects. (Acts 4:32-36;Malachi 3:10; Deut.26)
· Junior members: This refers to all children who come to Church with or without Parents below the age of accountability, and who have not accepted the Lord as their personal Savior. This category would be dedicated and all benefits of members would be accorded to them when the need arises. (Matt 19:13,14)
Marriage
· Persons who wants to get married are required to undergo pre-marital counseling which could last between 4-6 months
· Medical tests are an essential part of the pre-marital counseling process
· In cases where there is pregnancy before marriage, there is no hurried wedding. The baby must be delivered and if the couple is still desirous of getting married counseling is continued. There is a low key wedding afterwards.
Bereavement
1. Announcements are permissible in respect of bereavements concerning church members.
2. The Church can be invited to attend officially only in the following cases:
o FATHER
o MOTHER
o SPOUSE
o CHILD
In the case of other relatives the church would make announcements for members to attend in their individual capabilities.
Naming/Dedication
· These ceremonies are done for Church members free of charge.
· The naming ceremony could be done at the church premises if the parents so desire.
· Baby dedications are done on Communion Sundays i.e. the first Sunday of the month.
In all cases, notice should be given to the Church office at least a week before the event by completing the appropriate forms available in the church office or online.
